CVTailorly is free to use for many features. We may earn money from sponsors and affiliate links, and we follow the UK Code of Non-broadcast Advertising and Direct & Promotional Marketing (the CAP Code), enforced by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA).
How you can tell
- Sponsor messages on the site and in the newsletter are labelled "Ad · Sponsored" and kept visually separate from our own content.
- Affiliate links (where we may earn a commission if you buy) are labelled "Ad · affiliate links". They cost you nothing extra.
- Paid and affiliate links are marked
rel="sponsored"for search engines. - Guide pages may show a "Partner space". When it says "empty", no one has paid for it.
Partner referral codes
Some careers advisers, coaches and colleges recommend CVTailorly through a personal referral link. People who use the link get 10% off, and the partner earns 20% of that person's first purchase. Partners must tell their clients that they earn a commission. Partners never see your CV or documents. They see only totals of referred purchases, never who bought. Partners can also buy packs of voucher codes to give to their clients (see partners).
What sponsors can't do
- Sponsors and affiliates never pay to change our guides, examples, tool results or scores.
- We don't share your CV, email address or other personal data with them. We count anonymous views and clicks only.
- We don't show sponsor messages inside the paid documents we generate for you.
