Terms of service

Last updated 15 October 2026. CVTailorly is a trading name of B L Notts Holdings Ltd, registered in England and Wales, company no. 16782785, registered office 54 Pathfinder Way, Castle Donington, Derby, England, DE74 0AJ. ICO registration pending (application reference C2060422).

1. Who we are and these terms

CVTailorly is run by B L Notts Holdings Ltd ("we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales (company no. 16782785). These terms apply when you use the website, the API or the MCP server. By using CVTailorly you agree to them. If you buy credits as a consumer, you also have the legal rights described below, which these terms do not take away.

2. What the service does

3. Your CV is your responsibility

You are responsible for the accuracy of everything in your CV and in anything you send to an employer. We design the tools never to add experience, qualifications, employers, dates or results you didn't give us, and the paid outputs are checked for unsupported claims, but you must read every document before you use it and correct anything that isn't true. Only upload your own CV, or one you have permission to use.

4. No guarantee of a job

We can't promise interviews or job offers. Scores and checks are guidance based on the text you give us, not an employer's decision.

5. Prices and payment

6. Cancellation and refunds

Your 14-day right to cancel, how it ends once a document is generated, and our goodwill refunds are explained in our refunds and cancellation policy.

7. Your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015

Digital content we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If it isn't, you can ask us to repair or replace it, and if we can't do that within a reasonable time and without significant inconvenience, you're entitled to a refund of the price paid for that item. If faulty digital content damages your device or other digital content because we didn't use reasonable care and skill, we will repair the damage or pay compensation. Citizens Advice can explain your rights.

8. Using the service fairly

You must follow our acceptable use policy. We may suspend access, including API keys, if it is broken. If we do that without good reason, we'll refund any unused credits.

9. API keys and AI agents

After a purchase you may be given an API key that lets software, such as an AI assistant using our MCP server, spend your credits on your behalf. Keep it private like a password. You are responsible for use of your key; tell us straight away if you think it has been misused.

10. Intellectual property

You keep all rights in your CV and the documents generated for you, and you may use them however you like. The website, its design, code and our guides belong to us; you may not copy them for commercial use without permission.

11. Our liability to you

12. Changes and availability

We may update the service and these terms, for example to reflect new features or changes in the law. Changes won't affect credits you have already bought. We aim to keep the service available but can't guarantee it will always be uninterrupted.

13. Complaints and disputes

If something goes wrong, email us at hello@cvtailorly.com and we'll try to put it right quickly.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in your local courts.

15. Partner packs, voucher codes and referral codes

This section applies to careers advisers, coaches, colleges and other organisations that buy partner packs or join our referral programme (see partners). You buy partner packs in the course of your business, so the consumer cancellation rights in section 6 don't apply to them. Your clients' statutory rights against us are not affected.
