CV checker questions
Is this CV checker really free?
Yes. The full report is free with no sign-up. If you'd like help fixing it, you can open your CV in our builder (free to edit) and download the fixed version for one credit.
Do you store my CV?
No. The free check runs in memory and the CV isn't saved. If you go on to tailor or build, those documents are deleted automatically after 30 days.
What is an ATS?
An applicant tracking system is software employers use to collect and filter applications. It reads the text of your CV, so layouts built from tables, text boxes, images or icons can come out scrambled or empty.
Why does the score change when I pick a different country?
Conventions differ. A date of birth is normal in some European CVs but a red flag in the UK or US; US résumés use Letter paper, American spelling and are often one page.
