CVTailorly

The true yearly cost of CV builders in 2026 (UK)

Most CV builders advertise a tiny trial price. The catch is what happens after it. Here's what each costs over a year if you forget to cancel — and the one-off alternatives.

Disclosure: we make CVTailorly, which is one of the options below. We've tried to be fair; every price links to its source.

All competitor prices checked 15 October 2026 on each provider's public pricing page. Prices are set by region and change often, so check the linked page before you buy. Where a page didn't show a figure, we say so rather than guess.

How we calculated it

For 4-weekly plans there are 13 billing periods in a year. "Yearly cost if you forget" assumes you take the advertised trial and never cancel. Annual plans are shown where available — if you know you'll need a tool all year, they're much cheaper than rolling monthly.

How to avoid trial traps

When a subscription makes sense

If you're applying to many jobs over several months and want design templates, an annual plan from a competitor can be good value. If you want to tailor a CV to a handful of specific adverts — especially NHS roles — one-off credits are usually cheaper.
