How our AI works

• The CV checker is rule-based. It scores your CV against fixed checks (readability, country conventions, length, evidence, spelling and contact details) and doesn't use AI.
• Tailoring and writing use AI. When you tailor a CV, write a cover letter or ask for rewording, we send the relevant text to our AI provider, OpenAI, which processes it on our behalf. Under OpenAI's API terms, data sent through its API isn't used to train its models, and we never use your CV to train any AI.
• We never invent experience. The AI rewrites, reorders and emphasises facts you give it. Where a job asks for something your CV doesn't show, we list it as a gap for you to fill in honestly.
• It's automated. Your documents are produced by software, so please read and edit everything before you send it.
• Your data is deleted on a timer. Uploaded CVs, job ads and generated documents are deleted from our servers after 30 days, and builder drafts stay in your browser. Read our privacy notice and data retention page.
