Tips for a registered nurse CV
- Put your NMC registration status in the profile line — it's an essential criterion on almost every nursing advert.
- Name the ward type and patient group; shortlisters compare it with their own area.
- Use NHS language from the person specification (e.g. 'person-centred care', 'escalation') only where you've genuinely done it.
- Two pages is fine; newly qualified nurses can include placement highlights.
Most newly qualified NHS nurses start on Agenda for Change Band 5. Check the advert for the current pay point. Salary checker (ONS data).

Should a UK nursing CV include my NMC PIN?

How long should a nurse CV be in the UK?
Usually two pages. NHS Jobs applications also ask for a supporting statement, which is where detailed examples go.
