Job ad keyword extractor · Free
Find the keywords a job ad is screening for
Recruiters and applicant tracking systems look for the words in the advert. Paste it in to see them grouped, with the essential ones first. Add your CV to see which you already cover.
How to use it
- Paste the whole job advert, including the requirements or person specification.
- Optionally paste your CV to mark which keywords you already show.
- Add missing keywords only where they're true for you, inside an achievement bullet rather than a list.
- Run the free CV checker before you apply.
Questions
- Should I copy every keyword into my CV?
- No. Use the ones that are genuinely true for you, in context. Stuffing keywords you can't back up gets found out at interview, and some systems penalise it.
- How does it decide what's essential?
- It reads the advert's structure: lines under headings like "Essential", "Requirements" or "What you'll need" count as must-haves, and lines marked "desirable" or "nice to have" count as optional.
- Is my job ad or CV stored?
- No. It's analysed in memory and not saved.
