How to cancel a MyPerfectCV subscription

The official ways to cancel

1. Sign in to your MyPerfectCV account and look under My accounts / My settings for the subscription or cancellation option. MyPerfectCV's terms of use describe an online cancellation page there.
2. Or contact its customer service team by phone, email or the form on the contact page. The FAQ lists contact details and says you can also use self-serve options in your account.
3. Wait for the confirmation email. The terms say MyPerfectCV sends an email with a cancellation reference.

Tip: Cancel with the email address you signed up with, and note the date and time. If you used PayPal, check PayPal's automatic payments list too.

What MyPerfectCV's terms say happens next

• Cancelling takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and the subscription stays active until then.
• Charges for the rest of the billing period aren't refundable under the terms, except where the law requires.
• The terms say a refund may be available if you cancel before the end of an initial period, where one is offered. Check the current refund wording on the pricing page and terms.
• Your account stays registered until you ask for it to be closed. The FAQ says documents remain visible but can't be downloaded, emailed or printed after cancelling.

After you cancel: check it worked

1. Keep the cancellation email and its reference. Look in spam or junk if it hasn't arrived.
2. Check your next card or PayPal statement. If you're charged after cancelling, contact the company first with your reference.
3. If that doesn't resolve it, you can ask your card provider to stop future payments. For card subscriptions (continuous payment authorities), you have the right to cancel them with your bank or card issuer.
4. Download any documents you want to keep before access ends.
